Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, some evenings and weekends required to meet the needs of community members and programs.
Summary:
Family Service League is seeking a full-time Program Director for our Huntington Family Center. The Program Director leads a dynamic team in delivering vital community programs, resources, and events to the local community. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily operations, as well as staff and program development, while fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. The Program Director builds strong internal and external partnerships, drives outreach efforts, and ensures services meet the evolving needs of the community.
Responsibilities:

The Program Director effectively communicates Family Service League’s mission, program goals, and agency vision to staff, partners, and the community.

Oversee staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and conducting supervisions and performance appraisals.

Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, performance indicators, and program evaluation tools to ensure compliance with regulations and standards; make improvements as needed to meet community needs.

Direct staff in proactive, consistent community outreach to raise awareness of Family Center services, including developing and distributing a monthly calendar of events and activities.

The Program Director oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of all community programs and events offered through the Family Center.

Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all community members and visitors.

The Program Director manages program budgets, resources, and reporting requirements in compliance with agency and funder expectations.

Demonstrate a commitment to Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) standards.

The Program Director develops and maintains effective relationships with other FSL programs to maximize program performance and client service.

Identify gaps in services, trends, and challenges, and spearhead efforts to address them.

The Program Director builds and maintains strong relationships with partner agencies, schools, and community groups or individuals to coordinate resources and expand services.

Serve as, and delegate staff to serve as, agency liaisons in community committees, events, and programs.

All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Minimum of five years of experience in a related field

At least five years of prior management experience required

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

Valid, clean New York State driver’s license required
