- Prepare and analyze daily profit and loss (P& L) reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with front office expectations
- Reconcile the General Ledger with sub-ledgers, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Automate and maintain financial reporting processes, including regulatory capital and working capital usage.
- Develop and manage monthly payout calculations and accruals for broker-dealer activities.
- Monitor expense accruals and allocate costs to trading desks based on financial drivers.
- Identify and resolve trade breaks, including preparing journal entries for adjustments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance within a broker-dealer or banking trading operation.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas; experience with Alteryx, Microsoft Access, and Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft and Broadridge/Pershing applications is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial products, including fixed income, equities, options, securities lending, and derivatives.
