Duties

Ability to conduct preconstruction and construction progress meetings, coordinate multiple work locations, perform audit inspection throughout the construction process, and coordinate quality assurance inspection of completed work. Ability to actively coordinate between private business entities and the various departments within the facility. Verify safety procedures are maintainedworking knowledge of NYCBC. Coordinate contractors' work with the Facility as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting construction work varying in size (projects ranging from $500K to $5 million plus) and complexity (multiple crews and crew sizes per shift). Valid Driver's License required. Night and weekend shifts are required Ability to obtain a high SWAC clearance or SIDA at Airports or TWIC at Ports. Trained in OSHA 30-hour construction safety. ICC/NICET Level 3 Asphalt or Highway Construction; ACI Concrete Special Inspector; and Work Zone Safety Certifications are desirable.
