Sun River Health is currently seeking full-time Site Medical Director to join our team supporting our Monticello site. Diagnosis and treatment of patients in his/her specialty area; collaboration and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician's assistants; participation in planning and developing health care services in his/her specialties, treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician's specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, participation in after hours coverage to insure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Site Medical Director:

<li>Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his /her specialty following evidence based standard of care.</li>
<li>Provides off hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so.</li>
<li>Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews.</li>
<li>Provides supervision for clinical activities of Medical providers and medical documentation in his/her department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures.</li>
<li>Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center.</li>
<li>Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards.</li>
<li>Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records.</li>
<li>Participates and attends provider meetings</li>
<li>Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.</li>
