The Medical Imaging Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide their patients with a safe, positive experience. In radiation producing modalities technologists practice and enforce the radiation safety measures in New York State Department of health code part 16. Technologists support teaching and continued learning as the technology changes for both themselves and others. Salary Range: Min. $21.78/hr - Max $34.85/hr
Essential Responsibilities:

<li>Actively involved in all phases of the peri-procedural process.</li>
<li>Manipulates procedural instrumentation under the direct supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist.</li>
<li>Responsible for supplies and equipment necessary during the invasive cardiology procedure.</li>
<li>Anticipates the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist.</li>
<li>Constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.</li>
<li>Able to function independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision of a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and highly complex procedures, and function as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (RN).</li>
<li>Requires emergency on-call duties.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:

Job Description 
This position is&nbsp;heavily&nbsp;focused on assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Candidates&nbsp;must&nbsp;be proficient in both in order to be considered.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, and completing surgical notes and charts for procedures assisted with.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications 
We’re looking for:
Must have minimum of 2 years experience as surgery tech and monitoring anesthesia!

<li>Experienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring</li>
<li>Knowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clients</li>
<li>Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately</li>
<li>Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner</li>
<li>A high work ethic and positive attitude team member</li>
<li>Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work</li>
<li>Weekend availability</li>
<li>Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely</li>
<li>Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin</li>
<li>Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests</li>
<li>Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs</li>
<li>A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset</li>
<li>Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency</li>
<li>Knowledge of dental X-rays-required</li>

Pay Range:$20-$30/hr depending on licensed or soon to be licensed status&nbsp;
