The Manufacturing Operations Senior Manager at R2Net plays a pivotal role in managing the company’s inventory and ensuring it is efficiently and effectively used to fulfill our customers’ orders. The Manufacturing Operations Senior Manager must be an excellent people manager with a deep understanding of inventory purchasing, receiving and control, and familiarity with working cross-departmentally with finance and accounting teams to account for the goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and the jewelry industry.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Manage manufacturing inventory and fulfillment team of 7-10 people including small seasonal staff, and provide coaching and guidance to the team to create a standard of excellence</li>
<li>Manage three areas of the business: </li>
<ul>
<li>Purchasing and receiving and the subsequent vendor management</li>
<li>Metal and stone inventory, consumption and scrap</li>
<li>Manufacturing inventory reporting including cycle counts and managing inventory levels</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Oversee and lead department tasks, ensuring constant coverage in all areas to ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner</li>
<li>Manage existing vendor group and source and on-board new vendors, including providing direction and feedback to the vendors and recommendations to the VP on adjustments to make</li>
<li>Monitor costs and fluctuations to make informed decisions around purchasing</li>
<li>Lead regular cycle counts as well as annual inventory count and reconciliation process.</li>
<li>Improve on and generate inventory-related reporting to support financial reporting requirements</li>
<li>Improve and document processes to ensure accountability and training</li>
<li>Work with team to match capacity to business seasonality</li>
<li>Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure tight controls of our inventory and accurate reporting</li>
<li>Work within and across departments to achieve overall business objectives and support coworkers</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5 years in an inventory and purchasing based role</li>
<ul>
<li>Preference for experience with jewelry inventory and manufacturing</li>
</ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team with a proactive approach to management including being responsible for hiring, firing and performance</li>
<ul>
<li>Capable of training and developing team members based on individual needs.</li>
</ul>
<li>Proven ability to think strategically, analyze, and showcase critical thinking skills.</li>
<ul>
<li>Excellent excel and analysis skills are a must</li>
</ul>
<li>Experience in a seasonal business is a plus</li>
<li>Experience working with and reporting to finance or accounting teams around inventory levels</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication. Candidate must be equally comfortable picking up the phone, writing and email and meeting in person</li>
<li>Detail-oriented, customer-centric and service-oriented.</li>
<li>Capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.</li>

Annual base pay: $100,000 - $130,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
a. Bachelor's degree including 24 semester credit hours in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science
b. Eligible to work in New York State
c. One or more of the following:
1. Three (3) or more years of experience performing rate studies in the Property Casualty Insurance industry and is a Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuary Society (CAS)
2. Passed at least four (4) CAS exams and has seven (7) or more years of experience in Property Casualty Insurance actuarial ratemaking.
Job Description and Required Services:
• Provide recommendations for disposition of rate filings assigned to contractor. 
• Participation in various meetings at the request of the Department may be required to discuss all facets of the rate filing. 
• Provide a completed client's indication spreadsheet and presentation spreadsheet.
• The following Deliverables should be included in an Internal Actuarial Memo: 
o Actuarial rate recommendations 
o Description of the process used to evaluate the rate filing 
o Recommendations to the preparer of the subject rate filing 
o Assumptions and methods 
o Reliability of underlying data sources 
o Caveats related to the study 
o must include all written and electronic report(s), along with all supporting documentation for the recommended disposition.
• Assists in checking the mathematical accuracy of calculations;
• Reviews insurance company rate filings for compliance with standards; maintains in-house databases;
• Assists with special projects and research as needed; and
• Performs other duties as assigned.
