Histology technicians, also known as Histotechnicians, prepare tissue slides for microscopic examination by pathologists to diagnose disease. Histology technicians are responsible for cutting, staining and preparing tissue samples for the pathologist to review. They are also responsible for performing clinical laboratory procedures, examinations, and other tests pursuant to established protocols. These include maintaining equipment and records and performing quality assurance activities requiring the exercise of independent judgement and responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Embeds, cuts, stains and performs other tasks required to process tissue in the Immunohistochemistry laboratory.</li>
<li>Performs technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens.</li>
