The newSTART team employs a harm reduction approach with a main goal of helping clients begin to engage in community-based services. Our Lab is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist Float to join their team!

*This position is eligible for up to a $1,000.00 recruitment/retention bonus.&nbsp;

This is a 40-hour work week. Monday-Friday varying day shifts, travel is required to multiple draw stations.

Responsibilities:
\n
Obtain specimens and provide back-up support for office. Perform venipunctures, protimes, and strep tests. Process and prepare specimens for transport to lab. Communicate lab results to patients via automated voicemail system. Order and inventory medical supplies. Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary. Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner. Maintain timely patient flow. Keep up to date and informed on company/office policies and procedures through staff meetings and correspondence. Communicate any patient concerns or complaints to Site Manager.

Family Practice Averill Park is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are&nbsp;Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 5:30pm and Friday 8:15am - 1:00pm.

Responsibilities:

<li>Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.</li>

<li>Maintain timely patient flow.</li>

<li>Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.</li>

<li>Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.</li>
\n
<li>Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.</li>

<li>Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).</li>

<li>Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.</li>
