They understand how social and economic factors impact patients' oral health and must collaborate with other professionals to improve care. Under general supervision of the dentist, is responsible for providing oral hygiene service and education to adult and pediatric patients. This position will work in close physical proximity with patients and some of the primary responsibilities include removing plaque from and polishing a patient's teeth during routine checkups, screening patients, reviewing a patient's oral health history and teaching appropriate brushing and flossing techniques.
