Job Title: Sales Support Specialist I
Location: New York City, NY
Shift timings: 9:30am to 6pm

  • Excel Proficiency – Filtering, basic formulas, sorting, data entry, and simple data analysis.
  • Background in Hospitality– Position is client facing and requires a strong understanding in sales capacity or marketing-related areas.
  • Customer Service Orientation – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities and experience levels.

Position Summary
The Sales Support Specialist I will work closely with Account Executives to ensure the smooth execution of client sales orders, including monitoring of accounts, managing commercial inventory, and resolving order and billing discrepancies. This is a client-facing, operations-driven role that requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist AEs with sales order preparation and client account monitoring.
  • Oversee operational efficiency of agency orders via approvals, tracking, and requests using Wide Orbit.
  • Handle makegoods for commercials that did not air and reschedule them appropriately.
  • Communicate daily with Traffic and Pricing & Inventory teams to ensure accurate execution of orders.
  • Monitor and enforce client-specific restrictions such as DNA (Do Not Air) lists and commercial separation.
  • Track and report client impressions, ensuring full order delivery and billing in collaboration with other departments.
  • Generate reports and troubleshoot order discrepancies.
  • Work with Finance to clear billing issues through documentation and submission of discrepancies.
  • Maintain updated client databases and account lists.

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • Background in hospitality, sales, or marketing is ideal due to the client-facing nature of the role.
  • Entry-level candidates or recent college grads with relevant skills will be considered.
  • Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative, diverse environment.
  • Resume should be polished: clear formatting, proper grammar, and spelling.
  • Preparedness for the interview is expected—candidates should be familiar with BET and Paramount Global

Other Details

  • Industry experience in entertainment/media is nice to have but not required.
  • The role is part of a broader initiative to support increased project demands.
