Community Missions, has various Lead Residential Counselor positions throughout the agency; in both youth and adult services. The positions are responsible for the implementation of trauma informed and person-centered individualized service plans. In addition, they supervise daily activities and maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere for the residents. Lead Residential Counselors work closely with residents, their families, and a network of service providers to ensure the residents receive the necessary support to achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities-
- Conduct assessments of residents’ strengths and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address resident needs and goals
- Monitor resident progress through regular follow-ups and adjust care plans as needed
- Advocate for residents to ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and cleaning.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to residents in emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
- On-call responsibilities in rotation with a team (for some positions)
- Hours include evening, weekend, and holidays.
Qualifications-
- Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field plus 1 year
- professional experience in the human services field
- Valid New York State Driver’s License with clean driving record

- (3) Senior Residence Counselor (Adult Division); $38,355-$42,764; Located in Niagara Falls, NY
- (2) Team Leader (Youth Division); $39,915-$43,617; Located in Lockport, NY
