Job DescriptionThe Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare solutions company that is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Instrument Specialist to manage and optimize the inventory of capital equipment across multiple facilities. This role involves overseeing repairs, coordinating loaner equipment, tracking KPIs, managing equipment movement, working with vendors on contracts, and supporting cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach to driving efficiency and maximizing equipment utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate equipment records, track usage, depreciation, and lifecycle status; coordinate relocations between sites.
- Repair & Maintenance: Oversee repair processes, track service histories, ensure loaner equipment availability.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Collaborate with vendors for contract compliance, assist in negotiations, and support contract development.
- KPI Tracking & Reporting: Develop and monitor KPIs related to utilization, downtime, and costs; generate insightful reports.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:*Identify opportunities for process enhancements; ensure adherence to policies and standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, finance, procurement, and clinical teams; assist in capital planning and budgeting.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in capital equipment management or inventory control.
- Proficiency with inventory systems and data analysis tools.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred:

- CRCST Certification.
- Healthcare or medical equipment management experience.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.

Work Environment: 50% office-based, 50% travel to facilities for audits, evaluations, and vendor meetings.
