Position Overview:
FFT (Functional Family Therapy is an evidence based family therapy treatment model that is community based, strength-based, short-term, and high quality intervention program. At its core is a focus and assessment of risk and protective factors that impact the families and their environment. The FFT Supervisor is highly energetic, supportive and engaging team player with strong engagement and QI skills to help staff adhere to the model. Specific attention is paid towards interfamilial and extra familial factors, and how they present within and influence the therapeutic process. The FFT model fits well with the Children’s Village mission statement, and CV values the use of a racial equity lens in the effort to keep families safely together through prevention or reunification. The FFT model promotes social responsibility, education, economic productivity, community responsibility and an intolerance of violence and prejudice. CV implements 2 adaptations of FFT; Standard FFT and FFT-CW.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications: Professional license and Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, and four years direct clinical experience or three years direct experience as an FFT therapist and at least six months experience as a supervisor. *LMSW to obtain LCSW within 2 years to maintain the position.
