The opportunity
Due to exciting new business opportunities, Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our corporate dining culinary team at Hudson Yards in New York City. This full-time role offers a rare benefit in the culinary world—a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with daytime shifts, perfect for professionals seeking balance and growth.
As Sous Chef, you will support the launch of our new concept and help drive the ongoing success of Patina Restaurant Group within one of our premier Business & Industry (B&I) corporate dining accounts. This position plays a hands-on role in back-of-house operations, culinary execution, and team leadership.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $64,350 - $73,700 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Receive and inspect all incoming products to ensure proper temperature, quality, and freshness, following food safety standards
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly storing, rotating, and tracking products, and processing invoices with correct payment procedures
- Place and manage orders using the ordering system and direct call-ins, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of supplies
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards by keeping the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with all health department regulations
- Supervise team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure a well-maintained and efficient operation
More about you
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a steward
- Knowledgeable of best practices for receiving, ordering, and inventory procedures
- Ability to multitask and remain in control in a high volume, fast-paced, demanding environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Basic computer knowledge including Word and Excel
