The Picklr Centereach Team Member Overview:We are looking for passionate and professional individuals who are self-motivated, love sports, being on a team, and working with people. Primary Responsibilities:
- “Protect the Brand” – As a Team Member, we represent a best-in-class brand. We set the standard for others to follow.
- “Fulfill the Promise” – As a Team Member, we make a promise to our members and customers. We will make good on that promise.
- Instruct –pickleball classes, clinics, and lessons while encouraging participation in all of the club’s activities.
- Assist the Club Coordinator with activity programming and promotion.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all Members and Guests of the club.
- Maintain courts and equipment in a professional manner and ensure that the environment is safe for all those who use the facility.
- Promote club memberships to all prospective members.
- Promote the use of our technology (Wingfield, Erne ball machine, etc.) to help players improve their game and drive incremental business for The Picklr.
- Promote our pro shop paddles, gear and merchandise to add to the member experience to help drive incremental business for The Picklr.
- Grow the game of Pickleball in the Centereach area.
- Be a Pro – your actions and your words reflect on the club, our team and you.
- Take Pride – in our club and in your work.
Qualifications and Traits:
- Pickleball Instructional, Coaching, and Playing Experience
- Passion for helping others, patience, and the ability to adjust to evolving situations entailing all age groups and a largely diverse population of players
- Experience in customer service
- Initiative
- Exceptional communicator
- Positive demeanor and presentation
- Instruct with a coaching and teacher mentality
- Ability to prioritize
- Basic application operation (Play by Point)
Instructor Team Member Roles and Responsibilities:
Role #1 - Teaching
- Provide quality private lessons
- Provide quality clinics under the direction of the Club Coordinator
- Fully clean up the used courts after the clinic or lesson
Role #2 - Play by Point (Court Reservation Software) and Application Operation
- Assist guests with memberships, and members with clinic registration and private lessons
- Provide member and your own feedback to The Picklr management team around programming and how to better optimize it
Role #3 - Membership Sales and Retention
- Promote the club and membership selling opportunities
- Leverage Clinics/Lessons to get non-members to become members
- Promote paddle and other pro shop membership sales
Compensation:
- Instructors will be 1099 contractors.
- Ability to set your own schedule
- Free to instruct elsewhere
- Proposed Hourly Rate for clinics: $xx/hr. Pay rate will be competitive based on experience and current landscape.
Spit for Private Lessons: 70% to you, 30% to the club
