Overview

Hudson Valley Endoscopy Center is seeking a Front Desk Associate / Medical Office Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service and support for patients undergoing outpatient procedures. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment, managing front desk operations, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and available to start work at 6:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally during check-in and check-out
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries
• Verify insurance, collect copayments, and process outstanding balances
• Prepare patient charts and documentation prior to procedures
• Maintain accurate patient demographics in the EMR system
• Support surgical schedule adherence and patient flow
• Submit daily collection and reconciliation reports
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, surgical center, or healthcare front desk role
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (Electronic Medical Records / Electronic Health Records)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to multitask under pressure
• Professional demeanor, team-oriented attitude, and attention to detail
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities highly desirable
