What Youll Do as a School-Based SLP

As a school-based SLP, you will work with students of various ages and abilities to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Youll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote effective communication and academic success. Your role may include direct therapy sessions, progress monitoring, participation in IEP meetings, and consultative services. Your compassion, clinical expertise, and communication skills will make a lasting impact on students and their families.
