Our firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our New York City office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a technically proficient and seasoned engineer with experience delivering complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance innovative, and iconic buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize sustainable mechanical systems and communicate design options to clients and all stakeholders
- Develop high quality mechanical HVAC system construction documents
- Perform engineering calculations for cooling and heating load analysis
- Prepare mechanical technical specifications
- Prepare building due diligence and assessment reports to describe existing systems and HVAC design options.
- Participate with the MEP team in construction administration activities including on-site field observation, punch list reports, contractor coordination, RFI’s, and cost estimate review.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration.
- Excellent communications skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects, and other consultants.
- Excellent written skills in the form of engineering reports and technical analysis.
- Effective knowledge of the NYC Building Code and NFPA Codes.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit
- Engineering calculations and performance simulation software
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ Years' Experience
- Complete FE Exam or current E.I.T certification
- LEED Accreditation
